I disagree about the nuance one. I think the answer was denotation. Sure denotation means "meaning", but it also means something that hints or reveals a trait about someone or something. Look at what Marriam-Webster has to say:

Denotation: 1: an act or process of denoting

And denoting redirects to: Denote:
1: to serve as an indication of : betoken <the swollen="" bellies="" that="" denote="" starvation="">
2: to serve as an arbitrary mark for <red flares="" denoting="" danger="">
3: to make known : announce <his crestfallen="" look="" denoted="" his="" distress=""></his></red></the>

So I don't care what everyone says, if the CollegeBoard marks that one incorrect (I have QAS), I'm gonna sue them!!!!

can u help me out with two sentence completetion questions??
1.which one was the magnanimous one??do u remember the sentence or other choices??

2.about the cosmopolitan one,it didnt mention he was cosmopolitan but that he didnt only work in one place but in more than one.that doesnt mean cosmopolitan…why isnt it pragmatic???are u sure it is cosmopolitan??

magnanimous talked about the person being generous.

The cosmopolitan one talked about the woman working in several parts of the world, not just Spain.

It’s nuance. The sentence was talking about how the woman’s voice or whatever had different SHADES of emotion, blah blah blah. That’s what clued me.

It is nuance you arrogant moron. But go ahead, reagardless of how obvious that fact is, remain in denial. Keep telling yourself that it was actually denotation, and that you will receive an 800 in reading. Not just that, tell yourself you’re going to get a 2400. That way you’ll be super happy when the real scores come back!

it just annoys me when kids are overconfident after they finish their SATs. People like Uttaresh are just setting themselves up for failure and disappointment. Look, if you think about it, what is the point of PROCLAIMING you did well before you get your scores back. Two things can happen from that point: you get your scores back and they were as high as you predicted (not likely). In this case people thought you were an ass before, and they still will. Or your scores will be lower and you will be very disappointed, and people will think you’re an ass.

My suggestion: dont be overconfident and presumptuous. No one benefits in any way from that attitude. Hope for the best, but be humble and patient.

hahaha Uttaresh has been all over this forum making arrogant assertions about the SAT. Im not only referring to this post. Hey, I think I gave decently sound advice; sometimes people need to hear the truth in order to progress and mature as individuals. And I dont have anything against uttaresh, I was making a more general point because there are A LOT of kids with that same attitude.
