I am a sophomore at UGA, a Public Health major on a pre-dentistry track.

I have a 3.1 gpa, and a 2.7 science/math gpa.

I can see my grades improving some but not by much, as I seem to struggle. Should I probably just focus on public health? What should I have to atleast stand a chance at MCG Dental?

My advisor doesn't seem to know much, except that I should try and have a 3.3 Overall, and a 3.0 science GPA and I should have a good chance.

Compassion is a funny word, because you seem to be using it to imply some kind of “soft” fuzziness. But true compassion also involves an element of truth-telling. It is far more compassionate to tell the truth, no matter how unpleasant, than to mislead somebody into wasting their time and hopes.

I don’t know anything about dentistry school admissions; hopefully somebody else here will. But if they tell you you don’t have a chance, maybe that’s the most compassionate possible answer.
