I know you're the housing holy man and lord knows I need the advice.

Rising junior with a really, really crappy number (2965). In two words or less; HELP.

a) What is my range of choices with that number?

b) Any other options to circumvent the system? (I know we're past the deadline for Barnard housing but I heard you could get on the waitlist for students who go study abroad. Please let this be true)

c) What's the number for the Columbia depression hotline?

d) Can I still somehow, in some system fluke, get a good housing? By either trading numbers with someone else or getting in a suite if someone drops out of it?

Yo, I was in Wein my junior year. It wasn’t that bad. Ok, it was. But the only reason why it wasn’t htat terrible was bc I was on the same floor as my biffles. (Biffles = BFF, but I made it a word. Ok my biffle did)

Well sure - if you’re a group of 4, or maybe two groups of 2.

Otherwise, your options are as follows:

Be lucky to pick a Wien single

File a Summer Transfer request, requesting Broadway or Schapiro singles

File a Summer Transfer request with 4 fellow juniors, requesting a 5-BR Plimpton suite (you thought this might be a good idea)

Are you in general selection or as part of a group?

The more I read about it the more I think that summer transfer is my best shot. As a 20/2965 rising junior what sort of decision can I expect?

Do they offer you options in the summer transfer (single, double, building…) or is it just a definitive housing assignment sent to you by email? (I have a wet dream of getting a Watt studio through some twist o’ the summer transfer system)

Also…What’s Plimpton? I didnt’ even know we could sign up for summer housing as a group…

I rounded up to a close number because I didn’t want to be disclosed (pun-tastic) should a stalkering mind decided to look my UNI up in the directory and then facebook.
