Department Application

Do we have to ask them to mail the forms to us or is there a place on the website to download them? I asked for the forms a long time ago, but I accidentally botched up a white-out job on the application, making it not too pretty. haha. Let me know if anyone has any answers.

Sending you the following info from Elon Department of Theatre Arts web page. Good Luck!

Audition Requirements for BFA in Music Theatre
• The Audition: Applicants should prepare two selections from the standard Broadway repertoire, a ballad that shows a sustained legato line and an “up tempo” number. Each selection should be no more than 32 bars in length. Additionally, auditionees perform a one-minute comic or dramatic monologue from a contemporary play. The entire audition must be memorized.
• An accompanist is provided. No taped accompaniments allowed.
• All applicants participate in a Dance Audition (warm-up across the floor and combination). The audition is used to assess dance class placement as well as potential. Auditionees should wear standard dance attire or clothing that allows for ease of movement (close-fitting sweat pants and tops that do not obscure the body). Please bring dance shoes (including tap shoes if you tap) but also be prepared to dance barefoot. Dancers with prior training may be asked for additional demonstration of skills at the end of the general class. Prior dance training, while desirable is not a requirement for acceptance to the Music Theatre Program.
• Please bring additional resume and photograph to leave with the audition team.

Could you photocopy the application you have? Sometimes, that will make a white-out situation less obvious. You could even cover the whited out section with white paper, and give yourself a clean slate, so to speak.
