Does anyone know how many people in total get called back, and how many get rejected (who received a callback) on average? They also videotaped my callback monologue, what exactly do they do with that tape???

I also did a walk in at a REALLY great school and they told me to apply quickly, does that mean I have a good shot at getting a callback with them?

It sounds like you had an awesome audition weekend. I don’t know the numbers at DePaul or what they do with their tapes, but it’s a great school and lots of good people don’t get called back, so a big win there. Also, again, can’t say you’re in, but if a school tells you to apply quickly, then I would say you have a very good shot. (Weird stuff happens, but it’s a great sign and you should do what they say.)

This is only what I’ve heard so don’t take it as truth, I may be way off. But I hear that about 10 kids are called back each audition session and there are 40 students in the program so I’d imagine they accept 60-80 to yield 40. But I am not positive about those numbers. Congratulations and break many a leg!

At my Depaul audition this past Sunday, they said they accepted 32 and put a certain amount on a waitlist. No matter what, their class has to be 32 and they use the waitlist until they get this number. They called back maybe 8 of the 35-40 kids at my audition. Those are the numbers I know, I don’t know about the callback numbers in total. But congrats to you and break a leg at the rest of your auditions!
