Hi everyone! Has anyone heard back from DePaul for music school decisions or know from past years when they typically go out? It’s the last school I’m waiting on, and I’m getting a bit antsy, I must admit. Am I correct in remembering that DePaul sends merit scholarship awards with acceptance letters?

my S is a transfer student at DePaul and he found out his music scholarship with his official acceptance letter. He was privately emailed his acceptance beforehand by the instructor that recommended he transfer to DePaul so I don’t remember when the actual letter came

Last year it was about the 3rd week of March, so any day now. Acceptance and FA came together in the mail. Last year one of the schools sent the acceptance in a big fancy envelope that looked like junk mail. I almost didn’t see the acceptance letter in all the propaganda they sent. Good luck.
My D got her letter on Monday (16th) with materials and scholarship. She’s BFA in Costume in the theater school. I believe that music candidates were sent them at the same time.

I’m waiting to hear back as well. I’m a student at DePaul but didn’t audition for the music school until now. My teacher is a student at the school of music, and he said that he thought I’d receive my letter sometime this week (he has friends in the admissions office). I still haven’t received it. Cue me panicking…
If no one else has received their letters, then I feel a bit better. Should be anytime now 
Does anyone know if letters are sent via snail mail or email?
@kkarpan yep I had a nightmare last night about my decision letter so that tells you my mental state right now. I think they will be mailed out. Only makes sense because the letter saying you advanced to the next round of consideration was sent via snail mail the week after your audition.
@mezzontherise OH NO I didn’t get that… what??? uh oh. I don’t live at home though so there’s a chance my parents didn’t see it/threw it away. I hope they’ll still send a rejection letter if I didn’t get that.
Also, what did you audition on? I play the classical bass so I feel like for violin or voice or something it might be a bit more apt, but there just weren’t that many people auditioning on bass. (Me trying to be optimistic)
@kkarpan and @mezzontherise, have you checked your DePaul portal?
@musicalkids I’ve gone through and didn’t find anything… although, my layout looks a little different because I’m already a student at DePaul. As far as I could tell, there wasn’t a section for audition results. Thanks for the suggestion though!
@kkarpan hmmm maybe it’s only for voice that they do that? Definitely could be the case. And I don’t know if I enen have a username for DePaul’s portal.
@mezzontherise, when you applied you should have been sent information with your user name for the portal. Check to see if you still have that email saved.
@mezzontherise your username is usually the first letter of your first name and (at least?) six letters of your last name if you can remember a password you would’ve given. I say at least six letters because that’s how long my last name is… it could be 7 or 8, but I know they cut it off at some point. I remember that I misplaced my username around this time last year and it was a huge pain, so if you can’t find the email I hope that helps
