I was recently admitted to DePaul, with a finance major. I don't really know a lot about this school, well I did some research and it has a decent ranking with their business related majors. How respected is the university is the Chicago area and the US overall? I really want to work in investment banking, is Depaul good placing students into the career? I would appreciate any insights about the school!
Cheers.

could you tell me why you think you want to work in investment banking when you are a senior in high school? Is there something particularly fascinating to you about IB? If so, what is that?

(I only ask because my husband is in IB, and has been for a couple of decades, and he had no interest in IB, as this “thing,” though something that he WAS interested in led him into IB by accident.)

btw, depaul grads get hired in Chicago.

Well, you see the career looks very luring to me. I think it’s a very exhilarating and rewarding career. You know working with really intelligent people, and in an estimulating environment. But the truth is; I’m still deciding, I have other interests, and I’m just looking for stats of the the Uni.

Hi eduard!
Although I am in the School of Communication, our School of Business is nationally ranked and known. All business classes are taken at our Loop campus downtown which is in the heart of the financial district of Chicago. That being said, I know a lot of business school students who go to class downtown in the morning and then walk to their internship downtown later in the day. So many big name banks and organizations look for DePaul students for not only internship opportunities, but for post-graduation jobs as well! If you are looking into IB, DePaul’s School of Business should definitely be something to look into. The opportunities for outside experience to put on your resume are incredible.
Let me know if you would like more information!

Sincerely,
Cassie Snyder
