I am currently a senior in high school from Illinois that needs help on picking a school to go to next year. I have been admitted to both and love both of them. I'm going for business, and I know Michigan State's business school is ranked much higher than DePaul's. I received direct admission to DePaul's business school, but not Michigan State's because it is only a 2 year program so you have to apply your sophomore year. I like DePaul because of all of the connections with business downtown and because I received direct admission. I like Michigan State because it is big ten, it is a huge campus that I love, I love their sports teams, and apparantely they have a better business school. I don't like that I'm not directly admitted into the business school. Money is not a huge factor, and they both gave me around $12,000 off per year. Does anyone have any thoughts on which school I should go to. I would appreciate a response.

so what’s the net price at each school?

At Michigan State I would be paying around $33,000, and at DePaul it would be around $31,500.

There is a huge difference in the experience of attending either of these schools. DePaul is urban, more of a commuter school, whereas Michigan State is your traditional college experience. I would recommend deciding what type of college life you want to help you figure out where to go. Michigan does have a great reputation for business (and I’m saying this as a DePaul MBA grad). How difficult is it to get into the business school as a junior? What will you do if you don’t get in? DePaul is well known in the Chicago area so is a good choice if you are staying in IL after graduation. Also keep in mind that the business classes are in the downtown campus not Lincoln Park.

Yes it does. Of course the OP was wondering about DePaul vs MSU.
