<p>I got accepted to Depaul and NYU which do you guys prefer?</p>
<p>Do you adore New York City? If not, choose DePaul. Although urban, the Lincoln Park campus does have somewhat of a campus feel…I don’t get any campus feel from NYU.</p>
<p>Well DePaul is an great school, but generally NYU is looked at being a bit more selective…It’s a choice between chicago and new york. Both cities have a lot to offer. Chicago gets colder in the winter. New York is bigger, in my opinion that makes it less personal. Which school has a better program for what you want to study? Where do you think you’ll be happiest and fit in best. I know that in NYC it definitely matters more how you look and dress than it does in Chicago (which could be good or bad depending how you feel about that). Think about where you can see yourself. Not just in college, but also in five years from now. Take you time, make a pro/con list.</p>
<p>It really depends on what you plan to study and how you like the campuses. You’ll be very successful wherever you decide to go.</p>
<p>what is your major? I’m guessing theatre just because those are both really big theatre schools. If so, did you have to do an interview or an audition? How was it?</p>
<p>Are you kidding? Just look at the rankings! I don’t mean to be shallow and just think of numbers but NYU beats DePaul in every way.</p>
<p>NYU is much much much more prestigious. I would choose NYU hands down. Unless DePaul offered you a scholarship you cannot refuse.</p>
<p>According to USNews, NYU is ranked #33 and DePaul #136. Of course, it really depends on the program and depending on your financial situation, the price.</p>
<p>personally, i felt a difference between the atmospheres in the 2 schools. the students and faculty at DePaul were so welcoming, whereas the students at NYU were all about competition. They didnt want to work with you (students) they only wanted to do what was bst for themself. The faculty was very nice, but i would choose DePaul over NYU any day. You still get the same big city feel in chicago, and chicago is alot cleaner. But in the end, its all up to what you think is going to work best for you, if you like competition then go to NYU, but if you like working with your peers in a welcoming environment then go to DePaul. Both of them have really outstanding theatre depts.</p>
