Hey there.
I recently got waitlisted for DePaul’s BFA in Acting and was wondering if anyone knew my chances of actually getting accepted. My waitlist letter had a link to a FAQs about The Theatre School’s waitlist, and it says that you do have a good chance of being accepted, but they do not share any information on how many people are waitlisted or your spot on the waitlist. They also do not accept any letters of continued interest or additional materials according to the same FAQ. TTS has been my dream school since sophomore year, and I know that there’s nothing that can really be done in this situation except wait, but I thought I’d ask anyways. Would appreciate any info anyone can give. Thank you!

Congrats! My daughter is on the waitlist as well. It is her first pick, and she is thrilled. I don’t have any more info then you do, other than a parent of a current student shared that their child was offered a spot in June. Hoping things move fast, & keeping my fingers crossed for you all!

Mine was waitlisted too but she declined to stay on it. She committed last week to a different program. I’ve been hearing how waitlists should have a lot of movement this year. BAL to everyone!

My son is also on the Waitlist. Hoping it will move but I feel there may be a lot people on it according to the BFA acting and Mt Fb group. Fingers crossed for all of our kids

Approximately how many are you seeing? Just curious.
I’ve been curious too. I counted a total of 13 WL parents on CC. About 7 or 8 on FB, and there could be some overlap. (I’m not obsessed or anything lol)

Hi everyone!
First of all, congrats to you all for getting on the waitlist! It’s competitive, so you should all be really proud. My D is a current freshman acting major at DePaul who got in off the waitlist. She was not notified until early June after she had already committed to another program, so she ended up withdrawing from that school and attending DePaul instead. There is a possibility that it will move earlier, but from her class, she doesn’t know anyone who was notified of the waitlist moving earlier than late May/early June. However, she does know quite a few people in her class who also got in off the waitlist, so don’t give up hope!
