Deposit, Intent to enroll?

Hello guys,

I just wanted to make sure...
Only thing I have to do by May 1st is just to confirm my intent to enroll at Dartmouth website, right? Is there anything else I should do or send?

Thanks

That is correct. No deposit necessary.

(Don’t worry; they’ll make up for it later.)

How exactly? Can you list some of the additional expenses that do not appear on the “official” cost of attendance?

I’m going to assume he was referencing tuition prices. In terms of fees Dartmouth has almost none (especially compared to a lot of schools that catch you hard with the fees). I’ve found I actually spent under the “official cost of attendance” because I don’t spend much money here at all(no stores to spend it on really) , and thus the “personal expenditures” portion has barely been touched.

VeryHappy is likely just being a bit ironic - perhaps as parent footing most or all of the bill - but don’t worry - there isn’t anything hidden.

Well, if you take lab sciences and/or studio art classes, there are extra fees for materials.

For Sculpture I: “Supplemental course fee required.”

For General Chem : “Supplemental course fee required.”

That can add up if you’re a science major with a studio art minor. . . .

Not to mention the prices for some of the textbooks that you have to buy (particularly for science classes) amount to highway robbery.

VeryHappy - I am very sorry for speaking for you. I was indentifying a little, I forgot about lab fees and never encountered studio art fees.

^^^No problem. No offense taken!

Also, One more question,
You dont recieve any confirmation email or letter or anything after you send your intent to enroll, do you?

D received a confirmation email today.
