deposit!!!

Does anyone know if its possible to make a bank transfer to pay 300 deposit??? Its just no one uses check in that country where i live, i am so stressed that my documents wont arrive on time! I would have to wait a week for the check to be ready, and bank transfer from one account to another would be much easier.
I did contact the admission office but no one could give me a clear answer, no one was sure about it.
Or is it possible to send the check in english pounds and not dollars, that would be easier, cause i live in two countries.

Does anyone also know if accepted students have to send their final school transcript during summer? Because im taking Alevels exams in summer in Uk, is it possible that Fordham can withdraw the acceptence and not accept the students if their grades are slightly lower??? Its just i will know my Alevel exam results at the end of August which is quite late.

I paid my son's FU deposit by check, but, having worked in finance (and abroad), I am familiar with what you are trying to do. (Americans typically pay manually with a check or credit card, though people in the UK and on the Continent use wire transfer payments, giros, etc.) Here is the link to the FU website page with information about wire transfer payments, which in the U.S. are called "ACH" transactions:

<a href="http://www.fordham.edu/tuition__financial_a/undergraduate_studen/student_accounts/payment_procedures/%5B/url%5D">www.fordham.edu/tuition__financial_a/undergraduate_studen/student_accounts/payment_procedures/</a></p>

As for paying FU in sterling, you would be well advised to call admissions at +1 (718) 817-1000 or e-mail them to find out if they take payments in anything other than dollars (or to find out if you need to speak with the bursar's office directly).

Best of (British) luck!

Thank you very much for your information, i think i will just wait for the check to be done and send all the documents then i just really hope it will arrive on time. Its really all so complicated no one uses checks here.
I m worried now that also my grades will go lower, i hope they wont require another transcript........

...is typically required by U.S. colleges (although I couldn't find info about it at fordham.edu--you'll have to look yourself). The schools need it to make sure that their accepted applicants have maintained an appropriate academic performance (and haven't fallen into grade trouble).

I will try to have my grades then, because i wrote to my school that i will not be studying there next year (I applied a year early), I will just send then results of my exams, which are the 4 subjects I am doing this year. The UK has differnt program. I will however get the results at the end of August...
I am just so worried, I plan to send everything this wednesday, so it should arrive by May 1st I hope they will just get the letter and check i requested, it seemed that not many had an idea about the payment and affidavit at the addmission office i called.

Dver,

You should call the Admission Office before you submit your deposit. Please call the office on Monday. A student representative (like me) or the secretary can transfer you to one of the members of the committee to clarify the issue. Yes, you are required to submit your 8th Term Grades after this semester.

LC Admission (212) 636-6710
RH Admission (718) 817 4000 or 1-800 FORDHAM

Yes I will call again, I did on Friday and i was kept being transfered from line to line. I think i can wait until next week when that chek is ready, i already wrote to Fordham about it.
I am not sure how i can submit my grades, cause there are no grades in UK until we get our exam results at the end of August. However I will try my best to organise it!!

What gpa or grades do you need to have on that 8th term, i dont think there are that many terms in UK. I am just worried ill get C. So far I had only Bs and As.
