Depressed, will I never be able to transfer?

Hi, I've posted on here before about being academically disqualified from the University of Arizona. It was my first time away from home, I did not know how to manage my school, my life, my time, anything at all. For two semesters straight I managed to get all F's (22 units worth).

For whatever reason, I decided to continue school at a community college close by the U of A in the hopes that I would be able to get better grades in order to transfer back. Unfortunately, the same thing happened... I failed 3 classes my Fall semester, and then 2 in the spring.

That is a total of 12 F's.

I have retaken classes at a community college after moving back home to California (best move for me as I moved back in with my parents). Here are my stats thus far:

Film - A

Math - C
Psychology- C (I know I know)
Poli Sci - B
English - B
Student Success Skills- B

World History - B

English 2 - C

Now, this fall I will have started a medical internship, doing over 100 hours of redcross volunteer service, and other extra curricular volunteer work. I also am applying for student counsel senator next semester, along with the Phi Theta Kappa program. I feel that I have changed substantially as a student, and that I possess the ability to succeed academically.

My current grades this fall:

Math - B (possibly A by end of semester)
Comm - A
Poli Sci - A
World Religions - A (honors)
Earth Science - A

If I keep this upward trend and continue to maintain A's, along with my internship, extra curriculars and honors courses, do I still have a shot at going to a UC? I really want to succeed and become successful, and I have changed drastically from the naive kid that I was. Any advice, stories, or help would be greatly appreciated. If it matters I talked to an advisor at the U of A last week who said she will help me apply for retroactive withdrawal from the courses taken at Arizona, but if it doesn't go through, well... that will suck even more lol.

Also I want to transfer as an Anthropology Major (BA). (UCLA/ Berkeley are my top choices call it a leap of faith or laugh I don’t care, still worth my best effort to try)

To be blatantly honest, I would give you 0 chance to get into UCLA and UCB with 12 F’s. The first step is to try and get rid of the F’s at U of A, and then see if you can do something about the F’s at the CC. If you want a shot at going to a UC, you will need to basically get a 4.0 from here on out. The upward trend is good. Good luck!

Awesome to hear at least some positive insight. The only thing is, I can’t apply for academic renewal at the CC or U of A until FIVE YEARS have passed.

Idk if it would make a difference in applying to schools but I am starting a Red Cross sponsored club on campus, and interning with their main office in San Diego, along with Interning at a Hospital. Would these extra curriculars (plus the ones I mentioned in my first post), help me substantially?

From what I know, ECs have more of a bigger impact at UCLA and especially UCB. For the other UCs, your GPA and pre-reqs are the most important, with ECs probably playing a very small role.

Ya I had a ton of family issues my first year of college at Arizona, so I’m hoping that my retroactive withdrawal gets accepted.

Then with the remaining F’s, if I manage a 4.0 until next Fall it calculates to approx. a 3.1 which is barely above minimum. If I have to spend a full 2 more years at a CC so be it, I’m only 21 but still I just want all of this past me!

Thanks for your input though, I really appreciate it!

How about UCDavis? is a 3.1 and TAG + Honors Classes and my EC doable even with 5 F’s?Lay it on me, I’m going to do whatever it takes to get into a UC
