So HSL, I want to know how many of you have either dealt with depression or are dealing with depression.

I bring this up because I've been pretty depressed the past few years. Nothing is working out for me, my grades are declining an my social life is non-existent. The icing on the cake is my mom's cancer, but that's a whole other story.

It feels like I'm always coming back to my depressed state. Pretty sad, but I know I can't be the only one.

Go talk to someone. Depression isn’t something anyone should try to handle on their own. It might be hard to open up to a therapist at first, but just remember that they’re there to ultimately help you. Good luck!

You need to ask older people who had expereinces like this already. They can help you. I would ask a teacher who you like. They usually know alot about everything. They also might help you with your school work if they know you have other issues at home.
Thats sad about your mom. I hope she is ok. One think i know thats true is if you have to deal with hard things it can make you a stronger person. Its a good thing that you are asking for help, but hs people might not have the best answers. You could try asking the same question in the parents forum. I bet they would be able to help more.

I was clinically depressed for most of my childhood and am still depressed, to an extent. Good thing is that I’ve met a great friend who said much inspirational things to me. Just remember that the future remains when all is lost. In you situation, it would be beneficially to you to do well in school and try to ignore as much of your social life as possible (I barely have any friends as well). Just find some way to motivate yourself.
