<p>Ok so I’m applying to Berkeley and UCSB from NY with a 3.8 UC GPA and a 2150 SAT. My parents are divorced and I’m deriving my residency from my dad; who lives in Oakland. Google doesn’t have many answers for students in my situation. I have a few questions:</p>
<ol>
<li><p>Should I be filling out all of the “household” questions as if I live with my dad?</p></li>
<li><p>Where on the UC app will I indicate that I’m deriving residency? The residency questions only asked me if I went to high school in california.</p></li>
<li><p>Will deriving residency impact my admissions chances at all? </p></li>
