Hey you guys I got accepted today. I applied regular but they offered my early acceptance. Anyone else?

Yes, my son got accepted EA and applied regular. He has not visited there, but he is interested. We'll probably wait to hear about scholarships/aid. Good luck!

Weenie- same thing happened to me. I applied regular but was offered early admissions. I'm interested in the school but haven't visited yet. I can certainly say that fin aid and scholarships will be a factor in my desicion.

do u know why the offered us EA though? I'm confused because I applied regular... def not complaing though haha

Forza- Loyola has no official EA program. However, every college is required to have some form of early notification. So the way that Loyola does it, is that if students send their application in by a certain date they will review it. If you are an "exceptional student" they will offer you early acceptance. Everyone else who is not offered early acceptance is deferred. No one is rejected early from Loyola, people are only accepted. So, like I said, Loyola offers no real EA program but because they must have some form of early notification they offer students like you an me early acceptances and everyone else receives a deferral.

they accepted you "early" because loyola makes acceptances as they receive apps. they do that will all their applications it doesn't really mean anything except that they already read your app

shrugs I'm just repeating what the brochure and the adcom said.

soprano - I applied RD and got early acceptance too. You're explanation is right, it is on the brochure. Anyone know when they advise about scholarships?

Yeah does anyone know anything about fin aid? I mean because we were accepted early will we get reviewed for fin aid first and have the first chance for awards? Also will we get priority housing? Hmmmm so many questions!

I got my letter yesterday :-) Loyola isn't my first choice, but I still loved it when I visited. If that's where I end up, I certainly won't complain.

If anyone knows when we find out about financial aid, let me know!

Jessica,
Tell me about your visit if you will. My son is interested and accepted. Thanks.

forza- out of curiosity, isn't bronxville where sarah lawerence is?

I haven't had a chance to visit yet, but hopefully I will soon. I'd love to hear about your visit. What can you tell us?

Yay!

Got my acceptance today, it's not my first choice, but I wouldn't mind going there
