i would appreciate it if someone could describe the life in nyu
please do me a favour~ thanks

tawdry, fruity, and expensive :)

It’s awesome if you love city living and independence. Not much of a real college experience IMO, but I guess that depends on how involved in college activities you are. The library is a great place to utilize for study. I only lived in the dorm for one summer and then got an apartment. So my experience was more like living in the city and going to classes…and enjoying all NYC had to offer.

lol I second what burningbright said :p

people go to nyu because they want a non-traditional college experience where life revolves around the city rather than the campus. if you’re an international trying to get an “American college experience” nyu’s not the school i’d reccommend. If you want to live in manhattan for 4 years while attending classes, it’s a good college to go to. It’s a very impersonal sort of experience, being a large college with no campus. I guess it’s similar to lots of NYC colleges like Pratt, New School, Cooper Union, CUNY, and Fordham Lincoln Center in that regard.

thanks
if my target is wall street, will nyu be better than columbia?
(there may be some grammer misktakes, but i believe that you can understand~~)

nah, columbia is generally considered the better school in most majors. nyu does have a really good finance program, but a columbia degree will probably get you the same benefits (even though they don’t have finance/business for undergrad, I guess you would go with economics). plus in case you change your mind about career, columbia will be the better choice in the long run. nyu is also really stingy with financial aid whereas columbia has more money to dish out.

if you have the grades for columbia, apply for Upenn’s wharton business school, it’s ideal for anyone interested in wall st…good luck.
