they are treated pretty darn well...sigh

I think it's been good for us chartreuseglass, his post has certainly made us more lively and given me a much needed boost of energy to finish my paper.

hahaah yeah, this certainly is a fast-growing, popular thread! an over-night (more like over-minute) sensation! all based on what is most likely a lie! woo!

So is anyone here from Connecticut? I am sweating right now, tell me if anyone else has recieved anything?

It's like the war of the worlds! Paranoia! Widespread panic! I have to do my italian essay NOW :(

sadly, sometimes lies are the basis behind many great things

Yes, Beth HOBY was amazing... all we talked about was how hard the chem regents would be... ah, the innocence and trivialness of life back then.

and I must be studying for my govt test!

HAHAHA chem regents...hard...HAHHAHAA :)

ooooh how I miss it

I don't know if I can consider something based on a lie to be "great"...maybe it appears as such...

I would hate to be even more on the other side of the application process...I want to be a second semester senior in college!!!

I'm from CT, north CT mind you, but I haven't gotten anything yet. (It's Sunday, though). I'll tell you guys if I get anything tomorrow, obviously, but I doubt it. Don't they usually mail decisions out on the 15th, and open the site on the 16th? That's what I thought anyway. That's why I thought I'd be special in CT cuz I'd get the letter in the mail at 1PM when the mail gets delivered before the site opens up at 5.
I dunno, I'll check; now I'm mad nervous.

yeah, I think you are right, juice. thanks for letting us know if anything happens....I still think this is a nasty trick by Jaman, because he gets kicks from doing it

omg i read this thread and it made my heart race...

and what did i tell them about decisions on my birthday? bad. no. bad bad. unless its good in which case its REALLY GOOD.. and i can use my new digi camera to take pix for posterity!

Victoria make up your mind! :p

People on the Stanford board took pictures of their acceptance envelopes and packets in them. Someone should do that on this board so we know what to look for.

Hahaa that wouldn't be crazy or neurotic or obsessive or anything...

CALM DOWN!!!!!!

Take a deep breath, and count to ten...

Decisions will not be mailed out tomorrow. Why would they? Yale has already made decisions and will stick to the calendar, just like EVERY OTHER YEAR. Now the 15th may have results, or the 16th, but it only hurts their prestige if they come out days early.

The only evidence that we have is the hearsay of one friend who lives in the same state as Yale and may or may not be a recruited athelete. If someone came on to this board saying that they had been accepted, then everyone would freak-out and think that only acceptees had been notified. I almost certainly didn't happen.

So, to calm everyone's fears, one phone call to Yale tomorrow morning could clear this all up. Otherwise, the mail still won't arrive too early and probably not before online decisions (they would post those too). Unless you can run a 2 minute mile or jump 15 feet, you won't be getting notification until Wednessday or Thursday.

Or course (just to keep you all guessing), I could be wrong.

I nominate Nickleby to call!

jump 15 feet? hahahhahahah the world record is twice that. And I can jump 21 feet by the way. I am sweating to find out right now.

Thats OK, I hate calling places. I don't even have a cell phone.

Fine, fine, I'll do it. Someone give me the number please?
