I got into Davis for Design, and UCSB for Econ. I’m wondering if anyone can tell me what it’s like to be a design student at UCD? I was able to find some comments online saying design classes are really hard to get, because it’s so impacted. Is this true? Also, what kind of job do people get graduating with the design major? Or they mostly go on to art/design schools for grad degree?

Fashion designer, interior designer, graphic and multimedia design, exhibition design, etc.

one of my close friends is a design major. it’s pretty hard work, and yes, classes are pretty impacted. according to her UCD is pretty big in the design world though, so the program is definitely serious.
it’s kinda funny, while everyone else is writing essays and cramming for finals, she’s doing something like sewing a jacket. not that it’s easy, it’s just weird. hahaha
as far as career i don’t know
