design & management.

i was recently accepted into the parson's design and management program. i'm looking into the interior design major but i want a business background as well. how does this program work?

I'm in design and management, and well, for interior design, you need to apply through the foundation or transfer to the foundation - meaning you'll have to have your portfolio all ready ect too, because I applied through foundation but switched to DM. DM is a business program n is not a BFA related degree program. You should get on it to switch to foundation if you want to get into interior design.
And DM is basically like any other business program at B-schools but they emphasize in design industries such as fashion , advertisement, marketing , merchandising, buying ect. It's not aimed like Wall street corporate type deal .
I really like it, and enjoy it actually. Plus once you get out in the business world, you'll have an advantage since you know how Design and business are blurring.

I got in D&M as well and I think I'm going to accept admission.. can you tell us what kind of classes you take, anything about internships, and just generally about attending Parsons?

i'm applying to parson's for fall 2009 admissions for design & management. I'm curious as to what their standards are for SATs, GPA, etc. thanks!
