Hey,
Can anyone tell me how the design program at Northeastern is?
I really want to go there for the co-ops and the fact that it's right
in the middle of Boston, but from their online gallery, it didn't seem like
the graphic design department was all too great. However, I would like someone
else's opinion.

Is the design program good?
How are the teachers?
Is it worth the money?

I was going to post a similar thread until I saw this because I'm wondering the same thing.

I really like the school and its one of my top choices, except I can't find out much about the program specifically.

It isn't NASAD accredited.

My cousin goes there, and is friends with someone who is a Graphic design major, and she says that she says good things about it, especially co-op.

does anyone know anything about the GD dept.?

If you are interested in coop and in design or graphic design, you should seriously consider University of Cincinnati. They founded the whole coop educational experience even before that of Northeastern. In fact, the coop program was originally called the Cincinnati program until a number of years ago.

Cincinnati has a very strong program in both graphic design and digital design. Check them out.

Also, check out RIT's program in graphic design and new media design. RIT also has a coop program , although not as old or thorough as that of Cincinnati.

Oh yes, Cincinnati is also NASAD accredited.

Thanks Taxguy for your response.
I'm also thinking about applying to University of Cinncinatti, and I've looked at RIT, although RIT doesn't seem like the kind of school I want to go to. I'm in the same predictament as you Sam, Northeastern is one of my top choices.

If the school isn't accredited, does that mean that there's less of a chance of getting a job afterwards?
