designing a linguistics and/or cognitive science major?

<p>i really want to study linguistics (and cognitive science), and middlebury is one of my top choices, but, alas, they do not offer a linguistics major.</p>

<p>Would it be possible to create a major, and if so, would it be comparable to other linguistics programs at other colleges?</p>

<p>There is a now a linguistics minor, and with a number of recent faculty hires in a number of academic departments, faculty and students are now discussing a new linguistics major. You should contact Professor Aline Germain Rutherford to get more information.</p>
