Desk Lamps

So I just noticed that my (incredibly awesome) desk lamp is a halogen. I do not know if anybody is well versed in lampage, but can I put in a nonhalogen bulb? The note on the inside of the lamp says "to reduce the risk of fire use max 50w or smaller. 12v T3 type BI PIN Tungsten Halogen lamp."

Thanks for any and all help!

Bring it any way. To hell with regulations!

If you bring it, just remember to hide the lamp for room inspections. My neighbor had one and they left him a note saying the lamp had to go.

Please don't take the risk of using the halogen lamp. Think of what if something happen...consider all the people living in your floor/building. Thanks.

Halogen lamps are fine.... I had one for the whole year. I didn't even hide it for inspections, they never saw it.
