Desktop/Gaming Computer in Dorm Room?

Well, I live all of a 50 minute ride from UCSB, so it’s not that bad. I’ll probably go down in the canyons in Ojai, and some Arroyo Canyon riding during breaks…

Problem solved: imma get a gaming laptop to stay in my dorm that packs all the punch of a good gaming desktop. Then I can bring my netbook to class for notes…yay! I still want to build a gaming desktop though…perhaps when my gaming laptop is outdated in a few years and I have an apartment I’ll build my true “dream pc.” :)

the comment about the drooling over the zx 14r’s specs is all noob talk. dont ever EVER get a 1400. do yourself a favor and never even get a liter bike… its just dumb. a whole ton of weight and extra top speed for nothing… when are you going to go 200+ mph? never.

biggest anyone should go is 600. you can come gawk over mine, it will be in the manzanita parking lot :)

ps good compromise. you can have your beloved gaming system, and have it a reasonable size.

hmmm… id like to be able to see how fast my bike can go on an empty stretch coming back from vegas on I-15, that’s when… and of course it’s noob talk, i obviously DON’t have a bike yet, since im considering buying one. once i get one, im sure i’ll see the sensibility of your words, but until then, i can still ogle the specs of a ZX-14… although it HAS been a few months since i last posted here, and i started moving more towards CBR’s…

oh, and what type in the parking lot?

^ in the parking lot? huh?

i see what youre saying, however i have 5 friends who have died on bikes, and i dont take lightly to people saying they want a zx 14r when they dont know what they are doing nor talking about… so if i can stray you from a giant bike with a throttle response that will send you straight into a tank slap, i will try my best  i really hate seeing noobs die, and for that reason i hate hearing noobs talk about liter bikes and going 200 mph.

ps, my good friend just got a ticket for going 108… $1900 !!! def not worth it.

you said that your bike was in the manzanita parking lot? what kind…

and while i admit i am a noob, i have common sensibilities that would prevent me from going 200 mph, something i never said id do anyways…

its cool, just keep in mind that any bike, big or small, will take back any respect that you deny. however, a bigger bike will take it back quicker lol

its not there YET. but it will be in september lol.

haha, ok, i’ll be sure to remember that.

and what kind are you getting/have?

06 cbr600rr konica minolta replicas. had this one for 3 years now

I’m hoping you guys can help me out cause I’m a newbie to pc gaming and I have no idea what to purchase but I need to get a monitor. I’ve been looking around everywhere and I finally found this website that has reviews [PCitUp Gaming 2013 | PC Gamer Comparisons and Reviews](http://www.pcitup.com/) and I’m considering the asus monitor that I found on that site but I was hoping some of you might be able to tell me how asus products work with pc gaming and if it’s a good way to go, if not I would appreciate some suggestions of trusted brands for pc gaming?

Wow, I can’t believe someone revived this (hijacked) thread haha.

@ryangork: Asus monitors are very nice, the picture quality is as good or better than samsung’s.
