don't be one of those creepy guys with the ubuntu t-shirt who can't understand why the whole world doesn't want to switch to some nerdy-ass open source thing in order to check their e-mail faster.

edit: I know it's also a ridiculously efficient OS with tremendous advantages and will probably break into the private computing sector sooner or later. It's still mad geeky.

This isn't 1989. You use Thunderbird on windows. You CAN use thunderbird on linux. It has already broken into private computing sector. Its not mad geeky anymore. And its way sexier than Windows, anyday.

Yeah uh and are you one of those guys who brings Linux up at parties and people just kind of roll their eyes and humor you for a little bit and then go back to taking pictures of themselves with their Macbooks

do you have a ron paul sticker on your laptop

Jack, stop overreacting. It's not as though he recommended Ubuntu to someone with WinXP who was happy and had a decent system. The person with Win98 would seriously benefit if he switched to Ubuntu (or any other easy to use linux distro). If anything, he was being helpful.

Jack I am digging the Radiohead themed desktop. The minotaur is cooler than the bear though.
