<p>Well, I only had hardware problems with my Compaq and at that time the technician used to come and repair it. Although they all were of the type you mentioned. My Dell (2 years old) hasn't given me any problems till now atleast. </p>
<p>I do realize though that the part quality when assembling yourself is much better than buying a branded PC.</p>
