My freshmen GPA is horrible... I mean REALLY horrible like 2.x
I managed to bring the GPA up to 3.2 during my sophomore year and my junior year GPA was 4.4.... Considering that I have high SAT SCORE like 2100~2400 and high SAT II scores, good recs, good ec, good essay.... Do I have a chance at going to schools like Wake Forest or U of Michigan or Notre Dame or NYU etc??

there really wasn't a reason my grades were so low during fresh/sopho but there is a reason why my grades sky rocketted during junior year... but then I had no APs in junior year but only 2 honors courses.... Math and English...However I will be taking 4 AP courses by senior year....

go to wake forest, take a tour, and then talk to an admissions guy about it. they are usually really helpful and can give you better advice than anyone on these forums.

since you have a strong upward trend and other stats are strong, i would say you still have a good chance.

Sure you have a chance. If it shows that you moved on from that freshman year and have consistently worked away on improving your grades you will definitely have a good chance. Keep working hard.

yeah, i wouldnt worry too much about your freshman gpa. some schools...like Princeton, don't even look at your freshman gpa (they say so too)....and just so you know, i screwed up perfectly freshman yr....haha check out my couse selection: drama, chorus, pe, basketball, health + the typical freshman required classes.
