I am very disappointing in myself, i received a 1300's on my SAT, critical reading and writing seems to be my lowest.
Is there any book for those 2 sections.
I have 5 months, I am planning to get 1700s in those 5 months.
And is Barron's 2400 recommended or is too tough at my level?

I’m planning to take it again in October as well, I recommend you check this out thread out and refer to my post

Critical Reading will be hard to improve. This is because it essentially tests on two things, vocabulary and reading ability. While you may be able to improve your vocabulary, your reading ability is something that needed to have been developed over the years.

Writing, on the other hand, can be improved easily. Very easily. In fact, I would say that it is the easiest of all the sections to improve upon. When I first started taking practice tests last summer, I scored in the mid 500’s on the Writing Section. When I took the SAT last March, I scored an 800. How did I improve? Well:

Buy the Official College Board Book. Take the Practice Tests inside the book. Go over each question using the website (the url is included in the book) and find out why you got each question right or wrong. If you do this enough, you will learn the grammar rules easily.

Read silverturtle’s guide on grammar.

Read Sparknotes Deadly Sins of grammar.

Fill up both pages of the essay COMPLETELY with coherent thought and fancy vocabulary.

I hope this helped you. For a long time, I searched for a “perfect” strategy for the SAT writing. The information I have included above got me my perfect score. Hopefully it will do the same for you.

The best advice for reading is follow that Harvard students guide : http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-preparation/750399-how-attack-sat-critical-reading-section-effectively.html

CR is the hardest section of the SAT, I also have mystery tutor’s documents which I highly recommend, If you are interested email me and I will give them to you.
