Desperate OOS student HELP ME!!!

<p>FSU has always been my dream school and I would like nothing more than to get in, but I have no idea what my chances are because I have heard that it is much harder to get in as an out of state student. Please rate my chances!!</p>

2000+ SAT
5 AP classes plus many honors
160/155 class rank at a top highschool in georgia
President of FBLA</p>

<p>I'm a bit confused here. Is this a typo to mean 60/155 or 16/155?

<p>we are from oos (nyc metro) and our s just got admitted to fsu.</p>

<p>Based upon what you supplied, i would say you have a very good chance. the sat score you put down is for all three sections. if you are applying for 2008 admission, fsu does not factor in the writing section. The only thing i would be careful of is the gpa calculation. fsu only factors in core academic classes when they calculate their gpa. they take out all clasees they deem electives. this can lower your gpa.</p>

<p>I appologize my class rank is about 160/550
I scored 740 on math and 690 on verbal
In addition my unweighted gpa is aroun 3.4... mediocre i know
I have heard that it is harder to get into fsu as an out of state student is this true?
I am currently a high school junior so I will be applying for the fall 09 term</p>

Try to keep up your GPA and you will have no worries.</p>

<p>Yep. The SAT is good. :) You would probably receive a nice scholarship if you apply early. Also, you'd likely be invited to Honors.</p>
