Hook (if any): No hook, but I met with the admissions rep/had an unofficial interview and she told my guidance counselor she liked me a lot and could definetely see me at Vandy, and is going to fight for me to be admitted.

<p>I have two children at Vandy and your resume is very similar to theirs. I think you would have a reasonable chance with RD, applying ED should give you an excellent chance. Your ethnicity will also help. Vandy is pretty good with grants so be sure to fill out the FAFSA. While both my children are having a great experience and love Vandy, be certain it is your number 1 choice as ED is binding. Best of Luck.</p>

<p>Being so distinguished in NY definitely will help. Being an URM will help. Taking lots of hard classes will definitely help. Just make sure that for your essay you show lots of passion for something =)</p>
