Desperate to be chanced!!!

I'm dreaming of Harvard...

Male, Asian (Chinese/Cambodian = URM?)
Junior
HUGE, suburban high school in Southern California (public)

Most rigorous schedule (honors freshman year [no APs offered], 2 APs sophomore year, 6 junior year, 5 more senior year)
Will take all AP Sciences offered at my school (Physics B, C, Environmental, Bio, Chem)
GPA: 3.9 UW (damn!), 4.6 W
SAT (planning to retake): 750 CR, 800 M, 740 W (stupid essay brought me down - I got a 9! Argh!)
National Merit Semifinalist (obviously I'm not absolutely positive of this yet since they don't announce it yet, but I scored high enough so I should be)

ECs:
Nine hours a weeks in SAT Prep class (can this be listed as an EC? It's a significant time commitment and it's outside of school.)
Tutor other students the PSAT
Competitive robotics building
Key Club
Leo Club
Sierra Club
Math Club (current leaders are idiots. I will be president next year for sure.)
Science Club (should be president soon...I hope!)
Academic Decathlon (won awards for math)
Will try out for Government Team next year...I will definitely make it, haha.
AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, I'm kind of a cross country star. Not gonna lie.

Leadership:
President of Cambodian Club
Co-President of Ocean Science Bowl
Cross Country Captain (JV)
I always donate money to the homeless person who lives on my street. I consider this to be a very mutually beneficial relationship, and I think I have inspired him to seek out education if it ever becomes available to him.

CHANCE ME PLEASE? I want to go to Harvard, Yale, Princeton or Stanford (but will obviously be applying to less selective schools too, i.e. U Chicago) and become either a doctor or a lawyer (I can't decide yet.) I will not be applying for financial aid.

OH AND ONE MORE QUESTION does being Chinese and Cambodian make me a URM? I know Asian usually isn't, but Cambodian? The only problem is it's not an option on the Common App or anything so I don't think they will even know... Something to include in Addition Info?

Anyway, I really would like to be chanced. I'm super nervous about college apps next year!

Harvard are you kidding me??!!!
You only took all the ap sciences offered at your school!!! Are you saying you didn’t self-study all 31 aps there are?
And no major awards!!!
You’re not going to get accepted to your local cc!
One day you’ll find that you’ve moved out next to your homeless neighbor on the street!!!

And if you continue to freak out, THEN YOU REALLY DON’T DESERVE TO GO TO THE COLLEGES YOU’RE APPLYING TO.

Wow…that was really rude u59slf. I’m just asking to be chanced. If you think I’m under qualified, you could just say nothing you don’t have to mock me. For your information, I have worked very VERY VERY hard in high school. Just because I have no “major” awards does not mean I am not an awesome person who deserves to go to Harvard. I think you’re just jealous. Get a life.

Have YOU studied all 31 APs? I doubt it. At least I go to a high school that offers so many great science classes. I’m assuming you don’t or you would probably be off doing homework right about now, huh?

Yes. And when you finally become a lawyer and stand in court, you can just tell the JURY “I’M RIGHT BECAUSE I GOT 2400 ON THE SAT!!!”

Shove it.

Anyone who wants to chance me in a useful way?

PS: I might also become a doctor. Or possibly a medical malpractice attorney. I’ve not decided what I want to do in life yet, but that doesn’t give you license to belittle my achievements.

And apparently you can’t read…it plainly says about that I only have 2290 on the SAT. That’s over a hundred points difference.

And when you do become a doctor and are asked your qualifications for why you should be performing this life-saving surgery, you will reply BECAUSE I GOT A 2400 ON THE SAT.

I only got a 2290, ok?! Can you read? Apparently you can’t. Hmm…where are you applying to college?

A 100 POINT DIFFERENCE!! GASP
THAT’S GOING TO DETERMINE YOUR DESTINY!!!
OMG. 100 POINTS? that separates a Nobel Laureate from your homeless friend!
sorry I didn’t know

I bet you’re applying to liberal arts colleges. You seem like the LAC type. Amherst?

Your mom seems like the LAC type.

Ouch, that hurts man. I’m going to sleep I have a huge physics test in the morning. I hope I wake up to see actual normal people chanced me and you disappeared!

… interesting comments?
HYP - reach, but I’d say not impossible
Slightly better chance on standford perhaps

be cool guys.
Your stats are OK, just write good essays and make sure that rec’s are good
But I advise stressing your attention to some less selective schools, why not try some lac’s? Just know that I am not saying that it is impossible for you to go to HYPS, they are in your range so go ahead !!
good luck!
chance back?
