Desperately in need of advice

Sorry to re-post this, but I need some help:

I submitted a pre-app to one school where I checked off that I have a disciplinary record. I have not yet paid the application fee, which you're supposed to do when you submit the pre-app to this school.

Since then, I've decided to apply ED to this school. I've also learned that my guidance counselor isn't mentioning my disciplinary record in her recommendation.

If I went and submitted a whole new pre-app to this school, and did pay the fee and everything, and checked off that I had no disciplinary record, would that get me in trouble? I don't want to be inconsistent with my counselor's rec. WOULD they look at my other pre-app, when I haven't paid the fee? Should I tell my counselor to mention my record in her rec?? I don't know what to do!

If you have checked it before (and you do truly have a disciplinary record), it'd be unethical to not check it again (you could possibly get into trouble). Instead of asking the counselor to mention your disciplinary record in the rec (if she hasn't already sent it out), you might just want to ask her personally what she thinks of it. She could write another brief letter supplementing the regular recommendation about the actual suspension/other disciplinary action. If so, then make sure to tell her the complete truth about what happened. She'll respect you more and write a better letter (if she can write a counselor rec without mentioning what happened, that means that the disciplinary action didn't define you as a person-which is good)

thank you falalalena!
