Desperately need your advice

I have taken SAT 1 twice

the first time, I got 640CR
730M
650W(8E)

this time, I got 710 CR
800M
730W(11E)

I have already registered the Dec SAT Reasoning Test. Should I retake SAT1?

I mean the CC says taking the same time again and again is detrimental; most people

cannot see significant improve in their results. If I study hard in the next 1.5 month,

should I retake SAT1 in Dec, or should I be satisfied with my current result?

In addition, since I am not a native English speaker, my CR and W suck. Can you guys

recommend me some methods of improving my score, for example, books and useful word

lists?

Thx a alot.

In my opinion, anyone who retakes a score 2200 or above is crazy. Keep your score. Spend that time you would study to do something better.

your scores are fine… if you want to take it again, go for it, but i think they’re fine where they are at

The thing is my school is not very busy…so I spend a lot of time after school and application playing computer games and watching comics…I took two months to prepare
for the Oct SAT…so I think if I can spend less time playing and more time studying, I can do better?

there’s always that chance to do better… i had a 34 on my ACT and retook it… then i got a 35… so it’s always possible for you to go from a 2240 to a 2280+ if you retake it… if you want to, go for it… if you think your score will go up, then do it (if you don’t, then don’t do it, obviously)… your score is great as is, but anything higher wouldn’t hurt

just make sure you are confident you’ll get a higher score, b/c for the SAT, colleges will see how many times you’ve taken it and if your score has gone down

Don’t retake… I think you’ll be fine anywhere you apply with that score.

Don’t send your DEC scores when you register
if they are higher, send. If not, don’t.

simple.

Thank you very much for your advice.

I think I should spend some time preparing for the test, and make decisions in mid Nov.

If I can see real improvements, I will try; if not, I will not retake.
