MY TOEFL SCORE IS 280/300-GUD ENUF?..caps not intentional

i have applied ed 2

Your scores aren't good enough for HYP, but happily, you're not applying there, are you? They are in range for CMU if that's the college you referred to. I don't know anything about the TOEFL, but your SAT verbal score is high enough to establish your command of English.

so are u saying i will get in/?.....is my ec gud enuf?..and yeah i was talking about CMU engineering

They do care about confidence and optimism too. Calling your SAT scores miserable is an offense to average people. If you believe you can attend this college, show that you deserve it with your essays; demonstrate how special you are...

relax..there is really no point fretting now. None of us can tell you whether you are in or not, you will know soon enough..

sheesh.....i am sorry if i offended anybody.......i am really new here and really honestly thought my SATS were miserable ..please fogive me.........thnax for tellign em that there not!!......if they arent that is ...............its just that i am becoming really hyper over here .......thought i could get some help .....only one last thing i want to know..are my chances more than even? or less??..pleaseeeeeee

Really depends on your essays, your rec, and how well you present yourself in your application..You can have top SAT scores and GPA but if you present yourself as someone with no character, chances are you won't be admitted..

and on my expected class 12 results my teachers signed in a 96% in the CBSe exams

[/quote]

What does that means?

You are in range for CMU, but if you need financial aid your scores probably are not high enough.

oh ....on your app, there is a section where your teachers have to sign your expected class 12 exam results.........fonr intnl students only.....

CMu doe s not ofer aid as a policy to intnl students...........unfortunate isint it?...nevertheless...............................................are my sat 2s also in range?

'Predicted Grades' means the grades you have achieved in your Pre-Boards/Trials. You can't literally translate the word and ask your teacher to Predict your marks

oh no....thats what it is .... those were the marks on my exam in school also ........and my teacher signed it....i dint ask her to do it .....in fact they calculated it based upon some cumulative scoring...

Adcoms know how Indian schools grade in Pre-Boards. A 96 in Pre-Boards will show that either you are a academic super achiever(ur SAT score seems to contradict this) or that you have faked it.
If you can, correct this.

they are not some random numbers that my teacher put itn ...i have documents to boot for everything ...and i have sent them in .......
now tthe porblem is my sats dont complemnt...and thats why i am worried..i dont know what went wrog in the sats ....

i mean if they think i am faking it....thats blatant mistrust which is the basis of the whole aplication........you dont just fake somehting on an application...you have got to be really dumb and stupid to do that..........you make all statemnts with ample proof .......it is ridiculous to do so without any ......

WOW!!!cool down man!!! 96% and ur still desparate!!!!
Well,u hav an excellent score here dont worry much bout SATs n all.....ur ECs seems to b cool 2!!!I might say,u should hav a shot at the ivies....I m sure u will get in one or 2 or may b all!!!...I m not jokin here....;)..

mm.. poor SAT scores seem to be a common problem for indian students! your scores are definitely not 'horrible', but they are under the averages for HYPSM. I suggest you retake and see if they improve..

For CMU Engg, your SAT II scores are pretty low, especially the Math II C. Is there any solid reason why they are low? You can write an explanation to the adcoms stating that your standardized test scores do not reflect your true potential. you can explain any adversity you had to face, like being sick on test day etc. also tell them you are retaking the test (if you intend to)

you have got outstanding ECs though (for an indian student :D).. you go on and let them steal the show!!

I don't think CMU gives aid for internationals.

Your scores are NOT in range for CMU SCS, if that's where you want to apply.
The middle 50 % Math SAT score range for admitted students at SCS last year was 720-800. I don't know the admissions range for the SAT II scores, but it is certainly higher than your marks.
