DESPERATION...................as in READ THIS AND RESPOND!!!!!

ok ...i got aintersting post there..now how do i tell them a give them a solid reason for not doing well int the sat 2's?........i do have asolid reason ......one which makes a lot of sense .. should i just email them ?

so many dots.........

There are no solid reasons why you didnt do well in your sat2's. Unless you caught the deadly flu or you broke your writing hand or something, I think it would be stupid to write them an email or something.
If you are gonna say something along the lines of, "i felt quite sick on the test day and my mark doesnt show my real potential blah blah" - dont bother.

I mean, a LOT of applicants have weaknesses in their applications, whether it be ECs, awards, honors, gpa, rank, SATs, essays, etc...

Stop focusing on your weakness. ANd your weakness isnt even that weak. Stop stressing - you've already applied, and so just RELAX.

Ps you got nice replys in your same post in the college admissions thread anyway. I'm applying to CMU rd - so good luck with your ED!

if this is the way you write your essays like you post here, you'd better pray for lots of luck.

Thanx A Lot Nofx!!!!..that Was Really Nice Of You ...i Needed That..

Hope To God I Will Get In ...and No My Essays Are Defintely Not The Way I Post Here..........and Yes There Are Lot Of Dots In This Post....................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

dude more than your SAT scores, your SAT Subject scores especially contradict this.
Assuming the SAT pattern is new to you, you're not comfortable with that type of a test, blah...blah..blah...... If you've such good academic potential and excel at your subjects, your SAT subject scores should reflect that.
your subject scores in your strongest subjects (i'm assuming you chose your strongest subjects, otherwise - its pretty stupid) are 660, 680.
That really shows where you stand as far as academics go

and wow - spacepirate has started giving out advice too !

kARTHIKSMART, learn how to type. these internet lingo are no place for selective schools. maybe consider staying in high school one more year to mature some more

and you think typing that way is cool? i hope admissions officers lurking on these boards sees your typing.

Seriously.. you will get in.. if you think those scores are bad you should look at the average for most students. CM looks a lot at ECs.. they seem like a really chill school.
And CMU is definately not THAT difficult to get into, (of course I am speaking from an American perspective so I could be off)
Really I think you are a shoe in..

doesn't mean he has great scores he shld type like a retard. obviously he isn't mature for college enough. and from CC's policy:

Be descriptive, specific, and succinct in your postings. This way your opinion and point is clearly understood and referenced. Remember, people from all over the world read here with english as a second language. Please avoid excessive abbreviation and "text messaging" shorthand.

EXCUSE ME banedon , but to the best of my knowledge i dont think insults are take to very lightly by CC either ,leave alone''bad typing'''
i strongly discourage you to insult people like this by calling them a retard or saying they are not mature enough for college .such off hand statements are by no means appreciated .
I HAVE NOT OFFENDED ANYBODY by my poor typing skills ,however i am sure you will realise that you cannot say the same .

As for that....I would say.....RULES r made to b broken....hehe...
Neway...no offense now....back to the Original topic...
Well....as u can see from the posts, ur not the ONLY one in shear desparation!!!

issacnewton and kARTHIKSMART are quite similar in intelligence.

stop typing like a retard--seconded.

well you can always use the "report problem post" if you think it's "problematic" enough. we'll see if CC agrees with what you say.

well then maybe you shld stop acting like one. note that i said "act like one", since i don't think you are a retard since you have excellent scores. and in my earlier post i too said "type LIKE a retard." stop acting like one if you don't want people to think you are.

are you sure?

if i can't, so can't you.

RULES r made to b broken....hehe...

i rest my case.

No offense but is this really helping anyone?
If you don't like the way she types don't help her.. that is enough punishment..
and kARTHIKSMART if you want more people to review your stats then you probably should type a little clearer.. honestly ... english is my first (and only) langugage and sometimes it difficult for me to understand what you are saying.
Please... it is not worth all this trouble.

Well....thank u very much for that great compliment innocentstalker1......
and thank u for comparing our intellignencies.....
As this forum is not for the 'further-in-depth' detail for this topic in which we can hav a plenty of compliments for each other, we cant ignore the original topic....

Just for notice:OP dont u think that ur not the only one desparate here??!!!!(by observin all these posts!!!)....
And again...as for RULES....well how do we define them unless there in no breakin of them!!!!...hehe....
*some1 should understand a bit of deviation towards humorousness...(although this not a humor...)...

WELL LETS JUST FORGET IT

I will learn to better my typing skills and will be more careful in futue posts .

Can we get back to the oignal posts please?

Your grades and ECs are excellent, and while your SAT is not quite top-notch, they are decent enough and as someone has pointed out already, in the range for Carnegie. No one can tell you if you will get in, but you have good chances. There is really no point in worrying.

Just a word of advice- don't use the word 'desperate' anywhere in your application. It could freak the adcoms out.
