<p>D got email invite yesterday for Destination Tech- she is an early action admit. She rushed to sign up since the Connect with Tech program was full. The nearest hotel we could get was the Marriott near Emory University (she'll stay overnight on GT campus apparently). Does anyone know if we can take the bus from that hotel to Georgia Tech campus? </p>

<p>We visited last Spring and the city was dead- not sure why- but I'm hoping for a more lively experience this time. Georgia Tech is high on D's list, but she's still waiting to hear from 3 other schools. </p>

<p>Anyone else going to Destination Tech and/or know what to expect?</p>

<p>Did you check with any of the smaller hotels in downtown? Try the Ellis Hotel on Peachtree and Ellis or maybe the Glenn Hotel which on Marietta Street.</p>

<p>Thanks…I just checked and both are unavailable that weekend (4/6-4/8). I just looked on the Atlanta calendar and the NCAA final four basketball tournament is that weekend. That must explain why hotels are already booked!</p>

<p>NCAA Basketball Tournament? Oh, then you will be able to see another great ACC school up close, Duke. ;)</p>
