do colleges get to see if you've gotten detention or your conduct marks? how much of your "conduct" are they allowed to look at?

i was just written up today for "deliberately lying" to a teacher. i.e. telling him i was leaving the schools grounds but then ending up staying in school. he apparently was looking for me and i got written up.

now i dont know what this constitutes, whether it's just detention or also a lowering of my conduct grade.

will this even matter if i'm applying to college THIS year?

Like someone said already, I highly doubt colleges look at your detentions. I’m not even sure if the number of detentions you have received is recorded.

I work at the Deans’ office at school… None of the disciplinary information we have gets sent to colleges, it’s just kept for school district internal use. They don’t ask for it, we don’t send it.
