I was looking over the Penn application and saw that they ask if you have ever been suspended, etc. I recieved a detention from a substitute teacher last year (should not have, though) and was wondering if colleges would care if I had one detention. It was a teacher assigned detention (lowest possible, principle does not see it.)

oh please...

I am a little concerned... I just need a yes/no answer. Thanks.

you're crazy/anal/I don't know how you will survive with the ups and downs of the real world. I think that explains more than a yes or no

Penn asks if the student had been given any suspension, probation, dissmissal from school, or other formal disciplinary action. I do not think that a detention would be a "formal disciplinary action", especially when grouped with suspensions and probations.

hahaha. Oh well, I might be a little crazy, but I want to have the best chance I can have to get into a high caliber school. Thanks, that is a relief. lol.
