I have a mix of traditional and nontraditional ECs. It's fairly easy to figure out how many hours I spend playing my sport because I mostly play at a set time. But what about the ECs that I do at all sorts of odd hours? To further complicate things, many of my more nontraditional ECs involve a lot of heavy thought and such but these things can be accomplished when doing other things. For example, I run cross-country, but while I'm running, I often think about what to write about for my great American novel...should I count times like these as hours towards both? I know hours probably isn't the most important thing for college admissions, but I just want to be clear on this issue. Should I start recording how much time I spend creating art or writing each week and average them? Should I just write a range (it would range from 0-30+hrs/week)? This probably seems a little neurotic and I know an estimate would be enough, but I honestly have no idea how to estimate this with any degree of accuracy...

Thanks for sticking with this monster of a post!
