DEVOURED by FRUSTRATION!!! HELP!

Hi everyone. I am an international student in Grade 10.

Last year, i considered about taking the SAT II Subjects tests early so that i could have more time for SAT I.

Since i am in Grade 10, i haven't finished Physics and Chemistry courses. So i spend two months at school studying for the tests.

I chose books from Barron's, Princeton Review and Sparknotes.

Well, i also took the real tests on May 1, 2010.
However, the thing that i felt the most frustrated about was that, i normally scored 780-800 on the Sparknotes Physics and Princeton Review Physics model tests.

BUT!!! When i went to take the real tests on May 1, 2010, i found that PHYSICS test was wayyyyyyy tooooo difficult for me.

Frankly speaking, since i learned all the topics on my own, I certainly do not have a thorough understanding of all the topics, especially the topic on Magnetism and Electric field.

I felt REALLY confused. I have already finished all the books (Sparknotes, PR, Barron), but how come that i still cannot do well on the real exams?

Can anyone give me any advice?
Thanks for your generous help.

P.S. I am planning to retake Physics and Chemistry in June 5, 2010. So i have only like a month left.... :(

If I were you, I would cancel the scores.

Having a year of class really beats PR or Barrons; those books just condense information. If you don’t have any background knowledge, you will not be fully prepared. I am not sure about how you studied, but the most efficient way for me is to re-read the books 4-5 times (perhaps reading only highlighted sections that you feel are shaky on).

What classes are you taking this year? I would advise doing SAT II’s on those subjects (Biology, Math 2, Math 1)

I self-studied for Bio M and Physics for the 5/1 date, and it didn’t seem that bad…what I did was just really go over Barron’s prep stuff and do the Barron’s exams. What would really help is get the College Board’s big blue book of SAT II exams, or buy an AP review book

Cancel the score?
But i did pretty well in Math IIC.
