I am deciding between those schools.i tend to choose engineer-mechanical for major
help me to narrow down the list, please.
What I'm looking for:
better chance for jobs after gratuate

Your list already seems to be narrowed down - people don’t generally apply to just one place, so you could consider applying to all four schools you mentioned. When the time comes to make a choice, there are other factors to consider besides just job prospects, such as cost, geographic area (both for school and for subsequent work), urban/suburban/rural, school size, majors offered, etc. You really need to share more info with us if you want useful feedback.

I expect you have some familiarity with the schools mentioned (I’m assuming “poly” is Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo), but I’ll give you my quick take on the four. To start, you would likely be able to get a job after graduating from all these schools - don’t think there’s a huge difference in placement rates - and your education would be fine at all of them as well. So what makes them different? Well, IIT and Drexel are in very large cities (with all the inherent advanatges and disadvantages), whereas Cal Poly-SLO and WPI are in much smaller cities/towns. Cal Poly has what most people consider to be great weather (Mediterranean-like climate), while the others get quite cold in the winter. Cal Poly is a public school in a state with major financial issues, meaning your chances of being admitted may be rather poor if you’re not a California resident. Drexel and Cal Poly are medium-large schools (15K range student population), while IIT and WPI are much smaller (3K range). If you got in Cal Poly, your costs would be much lower than the others, where tuition is in the $30-38K range per year (PLUS room/board/books, etc.).

The academic environment at Cal Poly and Drexel differs from IIT and WPI, in that the former are more diverse in their academic offerings and have more of a “college experience” feel to them, while IIT and WPI are primarily technical colleges with a preponderance of engineers. I do know that Drexel has a strong emphasis on co-ops, if that’s of interest to you.

Since you’d be living there for four years (and more likely to find a job in that region), I’d base my decision on more of the “soft” factors - where you feel you’d be most comfortable and happy to be. You can make yourself be successful at any of the four - good luck with your search!

thanks for your answer,i wanna to choose a safty from the four, and poly is NY poly, for i did not make it cleared.

WPI > Drexel > IIT and poly
