DHC questions, please!

<p>Hello,
Son has been accepted to DHC freshman starting fall 2013.</p>

<p>Questions I have:
1- The DHC class list shows SAS30 Mushrooms, Molds, and Society as one of DHC sections.

But the class is full now.
Will they open seats for this class DHC students during orientation?
He is asking so he can prepare for his class registration</p>

<p>2- DHC program requires a UCD GPA of 3.25 to continue to winter and spring.
What if he does not get that gpa, what will happen to his DHC residence hall?
Will he be kicked out?</p>

<p>I believe that if one falls below the required GPA, they are put on probation for a quarter and required to raise it. If they can’t after two quarters, then they may be placed in a regular dorm–but I’m no expert. However, DHC provides students with lots of help, so passing is not an issue.</p>

<p>@SueNew What major is your son? I’m an incoming DHC student as well, bio major! Did your son get a reminder e-mail from DHC a week before his orientation or something? On the website it says there’s supposed to be an e-mail, but I never got one. Also, how did the issue with the classes go? Thanks!</p>
