I'm an international applicant and I received an e-mail from DHL, saying that a package from USC was on it's way. Does this mean that I've been accepted?

Yes it does^^ Congrats! Although it would be great if future international applicants who get a DHL would read some of the other threads before making a whole new thread about the same thing…

COngrats!!! Where are you from anyway?? Also it would be great if you could let us know what your status on the usconnect application site it?

what program did you apply for?

Now that you are in
maybe you could let us know if these links really tell us if we got in.
Try logging into uscconnect, then try clicking the pictures in both links.

and where ya from?

also, has your status changed recently? thanks and congrats!

I’m from Canada. My status on usconnect.usc.edu is the forwarded one. I’ll try those links and let you know!

nice… what program did you apply for at usc?

tm1992, did you JUST get the email when you posted the thread? Thanks~

holy **** i feel glad to have the forwarded status

tm1992-how long have you had the forwarded status for? thanks!

I applied for social sciences. I got the e-mail from DHL yesterday night. I think i’ve had the forwarded status for about a month.

tm1992
so, do those links really work?!
for me it says:User is not authorized for this process

When I click the first link, it says “User is not authorized for this process”, and when I click the second link, it says “We are unable to locate your record in this service database, please confirm your USCID is valid (it should contain 10 numeric digits) in the My Profile tab of USConnect. If this problem persists, please contact us. Error code: ID2”

Does getting the e-mail from DHL definately mean that i’ve been accepted? I’ve heard that international applicants who’ve been accepted in the past got the same e-mail I did, but could it mean anything else?

Umm … why would they bother paying the cost for delivery of a DHL package if it wasn’t good news??

As it’s been suggested before in the “ACK” thread, the links most likely won’t work for anyone unless you are seeing/accessing them directly from your USConnect page, as some of the accepted (who have received packets in hand) people have reported doing. My guess is this is either because they’re not active for you yet, and/or because this is a back door way to get to them. So be patient and wait until they appear in your USConnect?

I also got the DHL email yesterday and have the forwarded status!
I know that they send the rejections from April and on!
So for those of us who got this email, it’s definitely acceptance letters… so CONGRATS!
Does anyone know anything about the International Scholarship??

Guys, those two links do not work until 1 week after the date your admission letter was sent. So when you get your acceptance letter in your USC acceptance packet, look at the date the letter was written. Seven days after that date, those links should work. I know this because in one of the papers that came in my USC acceptance packet last week, it said you’ll be able to make your deposit “approximately seven days after the date of this letter.” And since one of those two links is for making your deposit (the “AdamUGcertification” I believe), that must be what the letter is referencing to. Only reason why I’m not 100% sure is because I received my packet roughly 4 weeks the letter was dated, lol. Sucks being an international sometimes. So one week after your admission letter was dated, log into USConnect, go to the “Admissions” tab, and you’ll see two boxes: One for sending your enrollment commitment deposit, and the other for RSVP’ing for Admitted Student Programs. Being the idiot I am, I had those boxes on my admission tab 3 weeks before I got my acceptance packet and I never realized that meant I got in, haha.

I hope I cleared things up.

I can’t wait to get the package! I’m so excited! For any international students who’ve been accepted and got the DHL e-mail, how long did it take for the package to arrive after you got the e-mail?
