DHS applications- reviewed for all who apply, or only those accepted?

Would anyone happen to know if applications for DHS are reviewed for all students who apply for it, or only for students who have already been accepted? (I’m curious about the overlap between the DHS Deadline and admission notification dates.)

On the same note, if reviewed before all admission decisions are made, could a DHS application (even if not awarded the scholarship) positively (or negatively) influence an admission decision?

Thanks!

In order to apply for DHS you have to apply ED/EA, which applications for those are due the 15th. It’s very possible that you could apply for PT/DTS (due december 5th) and not get in on the day they release decisions (usually around december 15 for EA). I don’t think your scholarship would have any effect on your admittance to the school, as they probably review the scholarships in January with the accepted applicants only.

I believe that all that applied ED and EA for the DHS and Paul Tulane by the deadline - are considered regardless of admissions status. For my son’s cycle, Class of 2022 - there was one applicant that was originally deferred who earned a DHS award and admissions. Good luck to all.
