I’m a little worried about American thinking I have a lack of demonstrated interest. I’ve lived in Spain for the past four years (navy brat) and haven’t been able to go back to the States to visit the school… Do you think that will adversely affect my decision?
I think if you watch the webinars, email your admissions representative, and try to get a phone interview in, you’ll be good to go! 
I’m sure they’ll understand the extent to which you are able to go with your DI given your geographic location.
