She is like the thunder,
When I’m trying to sleep,
Such labored movements,
I’ve never seen anything like it.
I know when she walks through the door,
She’s never as quiet as a mouse.
There’s words I’d like to say,
But I wish for only silence.
I’m ready for the darkness,
But the light is always on.
I’m ready for aloneness,
But there’s too much of one person indeed.
I’m ready to live alone,
And it’s only been a short time.
I like to be alone, alone to my thoughts,
But she’s loud so loud,
The walls are screaming too.
The tile in the bathroom knows her name,
The floor, familure with her feet.
She is anything but a ballerina,
She clomps around clumsily.
I don’t mind her as a person,
She’s generally keeping to herself,
But the air contorts around her,
And I’m weird, I know, for letting this nag me.
I feel like a dick with the thoughts I have,
But I really cannot help it.
It’s not her, it’s me.
It’s me.
I am too fragile. Too quite.
Do you know I’m here? No.
The breath is all but not there.
My bones and body are shriveled,
I’m tiny, get lost in the crowd.
She is the building,
I am but a brick inside.
I am a delicate doll,
She is a GI-JOE.
We are as different as math and English,
As different as tall and small.
