What's the difference between Dickinson and Gettysburg Colleges?

I suggest you grab a college guide at Barnes & Noble or Borders and read up. The best guides, IMHO, are Fiske and the Princeton Review.

Frankly, there isn’t much daylight between them. Visit both; take the tour; sit in on a class; then, if you’re still unsure flip a coin.

Boy do I disagree with Plainsman on this one. There is a hugely different feel to Dickinson and Gettysburg. Gettysburg has an almost “southern” quality, and it is very heavily Greek-oriented. Dickinson is much more invested in the idea of a global education. By all means visit - then decide which you prefer. I doubt you’ll need to flip a coin.

My son visited both Dickinson and Gettysburg on a weekend. He liked both schools very much, maybe Gettysburg slightly more. He said they both werte similiar but had a different feeling about them.
Surprisingly, he did say he preferred both Gettysburg and Dickinson to Bucknell U.

Did he say why?

"Surprisingly, he did say he preferred both Gettysburg and Dickinson to Bucknell U. "

He said he just didn’t get “that feeling” at Bucknell

I agree Junipner. Gettysburg is very greek focused and they control most of the social life.

I thought frats/sororities were about as big at Dickinson as at Gettysburg.

The numbers who go Greek at Dickinson are somewhat smaller than at Gettysburg, but I also believe more of campus life revolves around frat and sorority parties.

I meant to say more of Gettysberg campus life revolves around Greek life.
