Did a LOT worse than I thought I would on the SAT.

Okay, I took the SAT in 7th grade and got a 1770. After some studying and honors classes, and a couple blue book practice tests where I got 2000s, in 9th grade I got a whopping 1770. Again. My Math and CR sections went up a lot, but my Writing score mysteriously plummeted. I wanted to see my Essay score (which I feel was the best part of my entire SAT), but it says that a full report will be available on the 21st. What do you think happened? I feel like I did so much better and that I would at least get a 1900-2000...could they have made a mistake, or did I really just have a bad day?

I’m not sure. I know I had a really bad day.

Good luck on your next retake.

Don’t be too hard on yourself, 7th and 9th grades are really early to take the SAT.

Maybe you misread the essay question? I don’t know, I know I do that sometimes. I would wait to see the full score report before assuming the CB people made the mistake.

Thanks, everyone! I just have to increase it by a couple of hundred points in the next couple of years…better start studying. :P
