Did any international students got accepted?

Hey, I’m from Turkey. But I got deferred. Anyhow there are alot of people from Turkey who get accepted to harvard every year. (which is like 10 or 12). Yeah, kinda bummed out cuz now we have to wait for three more months. Well, hopefully we’ll get accepted. Lets just hope that the admissions are really picky with international and therefore put all of them in the regular to get the best of best. I wonder how many internationals apply and what the acceptance rate is.

Hi, another deferred international applicant from Asia here… though I’m currently living in Canada :)

@ bonnieblue and misterg: Were you (or the friend you speak of) recruited athletes? I know there are several Canadian applicants who get in every year to play on Harvard’s ice hockey team, for example. I’m not trying to disparage you even if you were; I’m just genuinely curious to know. :)

Yo! I haven’t been on since CC crashed. I’m international and I was accepted, however I do reside in the US (citizen of El Salvador, though). I am hispanic also, but don’t count as URM. I still think I got a similar boost however as a URM would. I’m about to post my stats right now. Good luck to the rest of you!

I am in china deferred, anyone in china accepted?

My friend from got deferred. We live in Canada. She had a 35 ACT. I don’t know anybody in Canada who applied to American Ivy leagues who got in.

I’m from Ethiopia and I somehow got accepted. I don’t know how this happened as my SAT scores are lower than most of yours. Its already been more than a week since i got accepted but I still keep pinching myself to make sure that its not a dream. Anyway best of luck to all of you and I hope to see you all in the fall.

It has to do with diversity and not necessarily being the best out of all the international applicants, but the most compelling in your region. Obviously it would be tougher for the high stats Asian applicants than for African applicants like you or central American applicants like me.

Hello guys! I applied to Harvard RD, and I am from Tajikistan, even though I have been studying in US school for last 3 years. There is definitely no one applying from Tajikistan. Does this give me an advantage, in your opinion?

Bikistroi10, but is this US School one of those international schools or is it an American High School?

I’m from Toronto, Canada. A guy from my school got deferred while another girl got accepted.

Pastaranokas,

what were your SAT scores?

I know 2 Kenyans got in.
