I was just wondering whether any international students received their E-mail decisions from Caltech.

Caltech said that they would mail the decisions on March 6th, and e-mail the decisions on March 11th for those whose mailing addresses are outside of the U.S.

Dude, I'm from Bangladesh, and I haven't been notified yet. Another girl from my country has been accepted and she got her reply by Fed Ex yesterday. There's also this girl from Romania whose somewhere in this site and she said something similar: that she hasn't been notified yet, and that 2 other students from her country got their reply already.

Lithuania speaking. No notification yet. I'm hoping that FedEx isn't that quick in here because it's a 4day weekend (weekend + gap day + independence day) waiting for the email...

Are all of you positively sure that today is their date for sending the e-mail?

I received an email from them where they stated that they had received my complete application and that decisions would be out on March 20th.
And now I find them notifying people (other than me) by the 10th. Caltech notifications are sneaky and confusing!

'Offers of admission to students whose mailing address is outside the United states were sent via Fed Ex. Other decisions to mailing addresses outside the United States were sent via Air Mail.'

Well, it's clear that I'm in the 'Other decisions' category, because Fed Ex would've reached me by now. Finally, the suspense ends and the sorrow begins. I wish you guys all the best 'cause you deserve it for working so hard with the essays and what not.

For those of us who are deferred to Caltech's waiting list, I suggest we start a new thread discussing how we should proceed with the appeal, and if there's a chance that it might work.

I called them and they said it would reach us internationals by the end of their day, so if it's past dark where you live, you could go to sleep and read your email in the morning. Or you could stay awake all night like me.

It makes me really anxious. Did they send rejection letter via air mail? If i haven't received FedEx letter, does it mean "I am rejected". I am really hoping on my unreceived situation is happening due to my country's postal service's irresponsibility. I read some previous posts, some international students still haven't received the letter, even though student who is same country with them has received. Probably, it means "Their decisions letters are coming with snail mail." ; which means "REJECTED". OK, this is not end of the world. I really hate myself that i didn't have an opinion of learning English when i was young. My English proof scores really hamper my chance (actually, that is stupid test), although my academic skills are reasonable. Anyway, i will wait email notification. It is already 10am in California, i think. What are they waiting for? How long should i wait?

Relax, relax, RELAX. You will all be OK, whether or not you are accepted. (Not that I actually expect anyone to believe me there, since I didn't when I was a prefrosh, but that is hardly the point.)

Also, anecdotal evidence but for what it is worth: I received an acceptance significantly later than other students in my country last year, and never received an email. Don't automatically assume rejection just because you don't have a letter yet.
